Working Man

For those who don't know, I am married to the most awesome guy ever!  The effort he puts forward to make a wonderful life for the three of us and the tasks that he completes - sometimes not knowing a single thing about it - continue to amaze me.  He can take something like wiring a transceiver device that he has never owned before, figure out the other devices it needs to "talk" to, put it in the hardest location possible to install, run wires through a fiberglass hull (usually forward to the most aft location) and make it all happen like it is plug and play.

Our conversations go like this:
M: "How did you know about that?"
B:  "Well, you can just tell..."
M:  "But I wouldn't know that"
B:  "Ahhh, you're sweet"
M:  "Seriously, how?"
B:...on to the next project

And the amount he gets done....yesterday he worked from 6:30am - 8:00pm and still had a to-do list ready for this morning.

I am writing this because he is too modest to admit most of this and I will probably have to delete it once he sees it, but the truth should be told.  I am so lucky and proud to be a part of his family.

Man handling the plastic cover off of the boat (notice the snow - it was about 15 degrees with the wind)

Taking time to give Kala a hug before he wraps the mast for transport (again - snow on the ground, ice on the river)

Sanding the bottom paint off Stella Blue - this took about 8 hours, waxing and buffing took another 8 hours - hard to keep your arms in that position, but he never complained once.

Bolting down the shrouds of the newly stepped mast

Cutting carpet off of the template he created from our cabin sole

All that AND he's a wonderful son!
