A Few Photos Of The Work...

It seems like we've been living in boat yards working on boats for months! Here are a few photos from this weeks progress.

Our hard dodger was too heavy for us to easily lift onto the boat so we used the top on the van to "lift" the dodger high enough where we could reach it. We are such rednecks.

We made a paper template of the cockpit so that we can have cushions made.

We installed a SeaTalk/ STng backbone so that all our electronics will be able to communicate. We will have a lot of information available on the chart plotter which we can filter out if we don't need all items.
We restructured the nav station to show the Ray Data information, the VHF/GPS. The iPad will wirelessly connect to the Raymarine E7 chart plotter/ radar and serve as a repeater.
We installed a new VHR radio, a VHF antenna splitter and the AIS transponder.

While going through stuff on the boat we came across this very cool blueprint by Robert Perry, the famous architect of the V47, with penciled in changes for our boat. We've had this framed and will now have a neat piece of historical wall art.
More cool boat finds. This is the original owners manual.

Fun photo we liked! Boat, Van and Trailer... all our worldly possessions and more than we need.

New Rocna 40 (88lbs).  Hopefully, this anchor will allow us to sleep more soundly.

This is a photo of our transom with 16 new holes drilled into it. Very unsettling until you realize that this is where we will mount the Monitor Windvane. Check out how it works: HERE
